Random Reads # 3 - The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Hey guys! It's time for the third post of Random Reads by I'm Loving Books. It's about choosing a book by random once a month and reading it! It's perfect for people like me, who has tons of books to read and is kind of lost.

So... Want to join in on Random Reads?

  • If you’re on Goodreads enable sorting to your to-read shelf (you should see numbers next to each book now).
  • Go to Random.org and type in the Min as 1 and the Max as how many ever books are on your to-read shelf.
  • Scroll down to the book matching the number Random.org picks.
  • Link up to your Random Reads post.
  • Read and be merry.

Ok...so I forgot to read my Random Reads # 2 xD I really totally forgot until yesterday, and it was way to late. I just moved it to #1 on my wishlist, probably going to read it soon...

Anyway, random.org choose for my Random Reads # 3....# 11 The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins! I guess destiny really wants me to read the book before watching the movie :P BTW, it has been on my to-be-read shelf since Oct, 2009! Oopss.

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before—and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
