Synopsis from goodreads.com:
Scarlett March lives to hunt the Fenris-- the werewolves that took her eye when she was defending her sister Rosie from a brutal attack. Armed with a razor-sharp hatchet and blood-red cloak, Scarlett is an expert at luring and slaying the wolves. She's determined to protect other young girls from a grisly death, and her raging heart will not rest until every single wolf is dead.
Rosie March once felt her bond with her sister was unbreakable. Owing Scarlett her life, Rosie hunts fiercely alongside her. Now Rosie dreams of a life beyond the wolves and finds herself drawn to Silas, a young woodsman who is deadly with an ax-- but loving him means betraying her sister and has the potential to destroy all they've worked for.
Twenty-five-year-old Jackson Pearce delivers a dark, taut fairy tale with heart-pounding action, fierce sisterly love, and a romance that will leave readers breathless.
This book was such a surprise for me, I was expecting something different. It was so much scarier than I thought it would be!

Scarlett and Rosie March are very close sisters. They may have the same heart, but each one of them are very different.

Scarlett March is scary. She is traumatized from her first encounter with the Fenris, that left her deeply scarred. She saved her sister's life, and all she is living for is to kill werewolves. So she can't understand that Rosie or Silas (or anyone else) doesn't feel the same. I didn't liked her much because she was way to strong and stubborn...just like me. She doesn't bend or change her way of thinking.

But Rosie, I liked her. She is alive because of her sister, so she does everything she says. She also hunts, but isn't as good or powerful as her sister. She is more insecure and definitely needs protection, but as the story unfolds she grows up.

Silas is the cute guy. He is also a hunter, but I just couldn't picture him as sexy. Maybe he was too sweet and nice. Obviously he is important, but he is like a secondary character. There is a romance going on, but I'm not going to give any spoilers.

The writing was good, and the prologue made the hair of my neck rise. It was powerful and scary, but then the story slow downs until the end. It took me a few days to read it because of that, sometimes nothing was going on. Also, I always had the suspicion of what was going to happen, but I didn't know exactly how.

Sisters Red is an urban fantasy tale based on The Little Red Hood, but just a little. It's more about the general fact that werewolves likes young women in red, and you can kill them with axes.

Prepare to read about killing, eating, blood, axes, pain...and sexy girls in red.
