Wicked Winter Read-A-Thon: Starting Line! + Updates

The Wicked Winter Read-A-Thon is a time when we all get together to dedicate the weekend of February 3-5 to as much reading as possible. You read as much as you can in order to get yourself a little further through that huge to-read pile! We know real life gets in the way and even if you can’t participate more than one day, you’re welcome to join in on the fun!
In the meanwhile, we will be hosting book-related challenges where you can win some awesome prizes and have a Twitter party at the hashtag #WWReadathon! You can posts updates on your blog, Twitter, Goodreads or Facebook — as long as the profile is public and we all can enjoy your reading progress! For this edition, we’ve also planned a chat surprise in order to include those who aren’t on Twitter in some chatting fun. But exactly what will happen is a surprise for now.
Hi guys! I don't even have winter on my country but it's always good to have an extra push to read, specially since I'm working and the only thing I want to do when I get home is sleeping hehe.

Anyway, I don't know if I can start today, maybe just in the afternoon or at night since I have work in the morning. But the weekend I'll definitely read.

My goal is to finish the three books I'm currently reading:

Hopefully I can at least start a new book by sunday :P

UPDATES:

Update #1: First day of the readathon has now ended and I couldn't read much because I was working and then celebrating my sister's graduation...but I finished at night A Midsummer Night's Sin by Kasey Michaels, which was awesome! :P Also, I just participated in the Fight for Survival challenge by Kindle Fever.

Update #2: Fell sleep yesterday and didn't read anything! :( But I participated in the Wicked Cover Lover challenge :P

Update #3: I finished reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon and it was awesome. Also, I participated in The Fight for Survival Continues challenge and had to answer how to defeat the Wicked Winter Witch so I can go on and fight another day until this evil Ice Age ends?
This one is tricky. A witch? I would probably try to stay out of her way BUT since the Ice Age started and survival was so important, some humans (like me) developed interesting powers...So, I will gather other survivors with powers and try to defeat her. Probably my powers would be something like reading minds and mind manipulation, so I'll let the witch capture me and make her believe she's winning (she knows about my powers but she thinks she's better than anyone!) while my partners in crime surround her forte and at last kill her. We discovered she was the reason of this Ice Age (Narnia, anyone?) and now that she's dead, temperature is rising again and making it easier to survive. :)
I know...special powers? Maybe it's like cheating, but seriously, she's a witch!

I think I'm over for today. I don't think I will read anything else since I have to work early tomorrow...so, good night!

  1. 3 books, whoa! :) Good luck! I'm aiming for two this time - I hope we'll both be able to finish them!

  2. You're lucky not to have winter! I'm sick of it already, lol. And now we're starting to get REAL cold. Our dog refuses to even go out, these days! I'm glad A Midsummer Night's Sin was awesome. o: It LOOKED awesome! *adds to to-read pile*

I didn't read too much yesterday either, but hoping for more today. ;) Finishing one of them was still good with the other things going on! Good luck! :D
