Hello 2016!

Happy New Year! Did you celebrate a lot? My family and I celebrated at home, having a delicious dinner, calling family from other countries, playing monopoly and waiting until midnight to watch the fireworks. We have some traditions to receive the new year as writing goals, eating 12 grapes, eating rice and lentils for abundance, and receiving the new year with money on your pockets and passports and luggage to travel. I really enjoy these traditions, I think they make the day more fun. Do you have any traditions to celebrate the new year?

One of my goals is to read!. My goal (as last year) is to read 50 books. I feel confortable with that number, it's still a challenge because I have to make time to read, but I don't want more stress it my life. Reading is my hobby!

What's your reading goal for 2015? Do you have any other goals?

  1. Eating 12 grapes? I've never heard that one! We ate black-eyed peas, which is supposed to bring good luck. I also avoided doing laundry yesterday because that's supposed to bring death...but that means I'm spending today doing a mountain of laundry!

    1. I didn't know about the laundry! I think the 12 grapes are for each month, but I'm not sure...I can't eat so many without choking hehe

  2. Glad to hear you had a nice New Year's Eve! I made my Goodreads goal 100 books, so we'll see1 I've never done this challenge before but I want to keep track of the number of books I read this year.

    Good luck with your goal!

  3. I'm with you at setting a comfortable number for the book challenge! I set mine for 2015 at 200 thinking "I could do this!!" but then school got in the way and so did work and lets just say....I wasn't even close! I set mine at a more realistic number for me this year so hopefully I can achieve my goal. Another problem of mine was that I would forget to log my books into my challenge thingy so hopefully I will keep up with that too. Good luck on your challenge!
