Oh My Books!

Today's list is: Books That Have Been On My TBR The Longest And I Still Haven't Read The one I really want to read soon from this list is Inheritance. Maybe because I want to finish this series, and also becase I'm worried that I left the book on my room in Venezuela and I don't know when I'll go back :S Have you read any of these books? I love TED Talks. I have learned a lot from them, and what I like most about them is that they are short, and can be about everything. Even books! I remember watching Full House when I was a kid, but I guess I didn't care a lot about it. But now I'm obsessed with Fuller House and made my husband watch it too haha. Fuller House is sweet, goofy, soppy and heartwarming. All the girls are adults now and trying to raise their children, sometimes with the help of their father and uncles. I love to see all the craziness in their house, trying to raise good kids, but having fun and being able to do other things than only being mothers. It's a family show, you don't have to worry about language or anything else, you could just sit with your kids to watch it. It may not have a deep plot, but for me is perfect for a day after work when you just want to have fun and watch something light. Little spoiler over here --->> Also,  I love that DJ is a veterinarian! Because I'm a veterinarian and I dream about having my own clinic and be able to raise my future kids haha. <<---

I loved the first Paddington movie , but I wasn't sure if Paddington 2 was going to be good. Thankfully, it was great and I loved it even more! This time, Paddington is looking for a job to earn money and buy his aunt a beautiful London book. It's not as easy as it seems, and when someone steals the book, the police think it was Paddington. Paddington being as charming as always seems to find a way to make everything ok again, making new interesting friends again and people realizing how amazing he is. I loved to see the old characters and the new ones (Hugh Grant), eccentric but funny. Overall, you know I love everything Paddington but I'm glad this second movie was as great as the first, maintaining the true essence of this heartwarming bear.

Ok, so I know it's a bit late to wish you a Happy New Year but I've been so busy lately working, getting married, trying to get used to living abroad... Anyway, I like having goals and resolutions, that's why I always have a goal to read a number of books. Sometimes I read more, but the last couple of years not only I have failed miserably, but also I've been reading less a less. Why? I don't know, I guess it was life. 2017 I only read 14 books, although I must say I tried to read more but didn't like them so DNFs them. I just don't want to waste precious time reading a book I don't like. Only 14 books was very low if I compare it to a few years ago, but also I feel like I'm enjoying more the books I read. Alec's life is a mess, so when an uncle shows up accepting to pay all his debts with the condition that he goes to live in a little town Canada for a year, it doesn't sound too bad. But in that little town he will discover he has the gift to heal people, although he isn't ready to have that responsibility. Alec was stubborn but had his (very sad) reasons, and I really liked Cecilia's characters, because she's a vet and lives in my dream house!! I liked how Alec changed, finally opened his heart to try to help a teenager with cancer. It was heart warming, it makes you remember that even if you feel like your life is shit, you can do better and even help other people. It left me feeling positive about life. The Healer  is a very sweet movie, perfect for those moments when you want to watch something light and with a happy ending. All profits for this film go to charity for children's cancer care, so what are you waiting for?
