Image
Let it Snow by Jeanette Grey Published November 1st 2016 by Forever Yours Baby, it's cold outside . . . 'Tis the night before Christmas Eve and Holly wishes she hadn't volunteered to work the night shift. The weather is frightful and getting worse by the minute, and the same old annoying carols are blasting from the bookstore's speakers. But Holly's holiday spirit returns when the store's sexy new assistant manager arrives to keep her company. He has muscled arms, baby blue eyes, and a sweet pair of lips she wouldn't mind meeting under the mistletoe. Sam is glad the snow is keeping away customers-it gives him a chance to get close to his favorite employee. Holly has always been a mystery to Sam, like a beautiful present he'd love to unwrap. When they're trapped by a full-blown blizzard, Holly breaks into the Christmas cookie display. Sam busts out a bottle of vodka from the boss's office. Soon the two are trading heated kisses-as ...

Book Review: Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

Image
I'm a big fan of the Harry Potter universe. I remember when I first read the first book how much I loved it, and 11 years later I'm still enjoying these characters so much! I was lucky to visit The Wizardly World of Harry Potter a few days ago at Orlando and it was amazing! I can't even describe my excitement and how incredible it was to be there. Even mi fiancé, who haven't read the books, was impressed. Anyway, I couldn't buy the new book, Harry Potter and The Cursed Child on the realease day, but I guess everything happens for a reason beacuse when I finally could buy it it was on sale! So I waited until my flight back home to relax and read it. Let me tell you, I was feeling very nostalgic to be reading again my favorite characters but also I was expecting more. First of all, I hate reading scripts. One of the things I like more of these book series are the descriptions, so I wasn't happy reading a script. I knew that before reading it, so i was...

Hi guys! It has been almost two months and I haven't posted a single thing....I haven't been reading a lot either (nothing) and I just saw a couple of movies a few days ago. I've been super busy with work but also teaching my new dog, Bernie! He's a cutie but soooo energetic.... Honestly I can't leave him without supervision! We are still adapting to him, he's just a puppy :) Anyway, I've been recording some videos about him and he even have his own Instagram profile :P Those are new projects for me, after losing my 15 years old poodle named Cotton a few months ago, I was super sad, but Bernie definitely is making my days happier. The Ceruleans #Giveaway Print Party!

Win The Ceruleans books in paperback! a Rafflecopter giveaway Author Megan Tayte Once upon a time a little girl told her grandmother that when she grew up she wanted to be a writer. Or a lollipop lady. Or a fairy princess fireman. ‘Write, Megan,’ her grandmother advised. So that’s what she did. Thirty-odd years later, Megan is a professional writer and published author by day, and an indie novelist by night. Her fiction – young adult romance with soul – recently earned her the SPR’s Independent Woman Author of the Year award. Megan grew up in the Royal County, a hop, skip and a (very long) jump from Windsor Castle, but these days she makes her home in the village of Standish, Greater Manchester. She lives with her husband, a proud Scot who occasionally kicks back in a kilt; her son, a budding artist with the soul of a palaeontologist; and her baby daughter, a keen pan-and-spoon drummer who sings in her sleep. When she's not writing, you'll find her walk...

Graphic Novel Review: The Little Black Fish by Bizhan Khodabandeh

The Little Black Fish by Bizhan Khodabandeh March 15th 2016 by Rosarium Publishing Based on the Persian children's classic by Samad Behrangi, this book is about a young fish's courage to question authority and strike out on her own An inquisitive little fish decided to question authority and leave the safety of her own home to venture out into the expansive sea. The creatures she meets along the way teach her important lessons and make her learn the most valuable treasure in life: freedom. The Little Black Fish is the story about a fish who questions her boring life and her superiors, and decides to travel the world and find what is out there. I only realized it was a 'she' after re-reading the synopsis, I'm not sure if I missed something. But anyway, I think she was too proud for a young fish who is supposed to be traveling the world and learning from other creatures. She has an attitude that wouldn't go well at all in the real world, specially ...

February Fiesta Blog Tour with author Hannah Fielding

Image
Introducing… Hannah Fielding Hannah Fielding is an incurable romantic. The seeds for her writing career were sown in early childhood, spent in Egypt, when she came to an agreement with her governess Zula: for each fairy story Zula told, Hannah would invent and relate one of her own. Years later – following a degree in French literature, several years of travelling in Europe, falling in love with an Englishman, the arrival of two beautiful children and a career in property development – Hannah decided after so many years of yearning to write that the time was now. Today, she lives the dream: writing full time at her homes in Kent, England, and the South of France, where she dreams up romances overlooking breath-taking views of the Mediterranean.  To date, Hannah has published four passionate, evocative novels: Burning Embers, a ‘romance like Hollywood used to make’, set in Kenya; the award-winning Echoes of Love, ‘an epic love story that is beautifully told’, set in Italy; ...

Graphic Novels I want to read

Image
Hi guys! As you can see must of my reviews lately have been about graphic novels and comics. I really enjoy reading those and I was creating a list of the ones I want to read next. Let me share with you some of my graphic novels wishlist: Through the Woods by Emily Carroll 'It came from the woods. Most strange things do.' Five mysterious, spine-tingling stories follow journeys into (and out of?) the eerie abyss. These chilling tales spring from the macabre imagination of acclaimed and award-winning comic creator Emily Carroll. Come take a walk in the woods and see what awaits you there... Blue is the warmest color by Julie Maroh Read my review: Blue is the warmest color by Julie Maroh Originally published in French as Le bleu est une couleur chaude, Blue is the Warmest Color is a graphic novel about growing up, falling in love, and coming out. Clementine is a junior in high school who seems average enough: she has friends, family, and the romantic attent...

Graphic Novel Review: Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol

Image
Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol Published June 7th 2011 by First Second Anya could really use a friend. But her new BFF isn't kidding about the "Forever" part. Of all the things Anya expected to find at the bottom of an old well, a new friend was not one of them. Especially not a new friend who’s been dead for a century. Falling down a well is bad enough, but Anya's normal life might actually be worse. She's embarrassed by her family, self-conscious about her body, and she's pretty much given up on fitting in at school. A new friend—even a ghost—is just what she needs. Or so she thinks. Spooky, sardonic, and secretly sincere, Anya's Ghost is a wonderfully entertaining debut from author/artist Vera Brosgol. I've been reading a lot of graphic novels lately. This time I read Anya's Ghost and enjoyed it. I didn't know really what I was going to find, only a ghost. But I found Anya to be a rich character, embarrassed by her herita...
